Electrician / Freight Lift Technician
Reports to: Service Manager (Cardinal Integrated Systems)
Based in: Louisville, KY
Job purpose: Service and Install all types of material handling equipment that requires electrical wiring and hook up to existing customer power and servicing and installing reciprocating vertical lifts/ freight lifts.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
Servicing and installing all types of material handling equipment.
They will follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications, as well as troubleshoot malfunctions.
Person Profile:
Electrician must be able to work independently in a field environment and shop
Must keep work area clean and orderly and comply with all work place safety
Must comply with all company policies and procedures and other duties as assigned
Occasional overnight travel and overtime would be required per job request and training needs.
Must have a good driving record and have valid drivers license.
Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or Degree is required.
Associates degree or higher in Electronics, Pneumatics, or related education is preferred but not required.
Must be licensed electrician.
Expertise in PLC controls is not required, but would be seen as a valuable skill set.
Maintaining mechanical knowledge of products by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical publications, and establishing personal networks is required for this position.
Physical Requirements:
Electricians are regularly required to remain in a stationary position, positions self to work on and under equipment, pull, ascend and traverse stairs and ladders, and transport and position tools and equipment short distances.
Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds safely. This position requires working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions as well as working at heights and on ladders.

Outside Sales Representative
Reports to: Vice President of Aftermarket Sales
Based in: Louisville, KY, Bowling Green, KY
Job purpose:
To acquire new business for service or equipment needs. Communicate with customers, sales, and service teams. Maintain current customers and fulfill customer needs. Provide customer support and direct any specific questions to appropriate person.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
Make sales calls to existing customers to make sure their sales and service needs being taking care of and call potential new customers to build relationships and open corporate accounts.
Calculating quotes for equipment, parts and service work.
Reviewing and clarifying existing customer invoices to ensure accuracy.
Communicate with other departments information gathered in the field, including potential sales opportunities.
Review training materials and product literature to ensure familiarity with new products the company offers.
Person Profile:
A person in this position is moderately supervised and reports daily to VP of Aftermarket Sales on calls, notes, customers and follow ups.
Proficiency in reading, writing, and verbally communicating the English language is important for a person in this position to be successful.
Knowledge of computer based systems such as Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Word, and Outlook) is very important for someone in this position.
A general knowledge of industrial equipment is valuable for the position.
A person in this position should have problem solving skills, analytical ability, communications skills, dexterity, and interpersonal skills.
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Education Requirements:
A 4 year business degree or a degree in a related field, such as communications, marketing, project management, or advertising or 2 years of sales experience (industrial sales experience preferred) is required for this position.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires remaining in a stationary position for at least 50% of the time, moving about in a an office or warehouse setting and occasionally traversing stairs, and frequently moving or transporting industrial equipment (up to 70 lbs.).

Service Technician / Forklift Mechanic
Reports to: Service Manager
Based in: Louisville, KY
Job purpose: Mechanics are responsible for repairing, installing, and maintaining equipment at the customer’s facilities.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
Mechanics are to ensure the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines.
They will follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications, as well as troubleshoot malfunctions.
Person Profile:
Mechanic must be able to work independently in a field environment and shop
Must keep work area clean and orderly and comply with all work place safety
Must comply with all company policies and procedures and other duties as assigned
Ability to work call-ins, overtime, or non-regular hours as needed
Must have a good driving record
Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or Degree is required.
Associate’s degree or higher in Automotive Technology or Electronics is preferred but not required.
Must be able to obtain powered industrial truck certification (License)

Service Technician (Cardinal Integrated Systems)
Reports to: Cardinal Integrated Service Manager
Based in: Louisville, KY, Bowling Green, KY
Job purpose:
The CIS Service Technician’s primary responsibilities are to respond to service calls quickly as they are dispatched and to efficiently and accurately diagnose, make or recommend needed repairs and parts to repair our customer’s materials handling equipment back to good working and safe condition.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
Service technicians must have a good working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical principles and the various components (motors, gears, hydraulic blocks and hoses, pneumatic blocks and hoses, electrical, etc.) that make up materials handling equipment in order to repair equipment including but not limited to, dock levelers, truck restraints, conveyor systems, cranes and hoists, and industrial doors of all types.
Technicians must be able to effectively and safely translate their knowledge of the equipment we service into successfully repairing equipment in both the field or in our shop.
Technicians are expected to recommend repairs beyond the scope of PM’s should additional repairs be deemed necessary to make equipment work better or more safely.
In addition, at times service technicians may be required to assist installation technicians on scheduled jobs in order for the company to meet our obligations to our customers.
Person Profile:
Technicians must be able to work well with other technicians and the personnel of our customers in times that customers provide help on jobs.
Technicians must have good oral and written communication skills and must submit all required paperwork, including work summaries and time tickets when scheduled to do so.
Work requires the working knowledge of and safe usage of both hand tools and powered tools for activities such as but not limited to, cutting, welding, brazing, hammering, fastening, and toting of materials and tools.
Work requires the safe usage of ladders, scaffolding ad scissor lifts to access some equipment. Proper PPE is to be worn when working on each job performed as dictated by OSHA, Cardinal Integrated Systems, or our customers in accordance with their own their safe work practice policies.
Technicians must possess a valid driver’s license and must have a clean driving record. Technicians may have use of company owned vehicles and tools when working and must maintain said vehicles and tools in good working order and make sure they present a clean, professional image while working.
Technicians must be able to work overtime hours and or weekend hours to perform emergency repairs when needed. Service technicians will be on call on a rotated basis so that we can respond quickly and professionally to emergency repairs called in by our customers.
Education Requirements:
A High School Diploma or GED is required for this position. A 2 year Associates degree in Electronics, Welding or any specific job related Certifications are preferred.
A current electrical license is desirable along with a good working knowledge of programming and software for controls.
At least 2 years of experience in a related field is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires technicians to safely lift a minimum of 75 pounds. Frequent walking, standing, and traversing of stairs and lifts are required for this position.
